Presentation Title: Biotech Journey Through the Phases of Commercializing a Product

Presentation Description
Every biotech start-up that transitions successfully from research and development to commercialization faces common and addressable changes and challenges.

Priorities change, previously successful management practices are no longer applicable, new tensions disrupt team dynamics, and the organization requires a different kind of skill set and leadership approach. During this interactive session, you will learn about what is required for biotech companies to move from a research and development organization to a commercial organization. As a HR professional, this session will enable you to be more conversant with your peers about where your company is today and what it needs to do to prepare for the next phase of development.

During the session, you will assess your company’s situation, diagnose your challenges & begin to formulate a response as you learn about:

  • Industry trends impacting biotech companies
  • Challenges and obstacles facing leadership teams with actual observations
  • Strategies to move successfully along the clinical and commercial development continuum
  • Organizational alignment approaches to facilitate effective governance
  • Leadership development initiatives to ensure your organization is building the right capabilities for each phase of development
  • Considerations for balancing the focus on operational efforts with other priorities (e.g. partnering, financing)
